Trending on YouTube

I just watched three AWESOME currently trending videos on YouTube, and holy crap I have to share them. The first one I watched is adorable, the Deaf Professional Arts Network made an ASL video to the White Stripes' song, "We're Going To Be Friends". Okay, next video is mind blowing. These guys definitely know how to move. I love comparing their "dancing" to our American hip-hop dancing. Different, but still with a few similarities and fun to watch. This is like seeing OK Go and The Postal Service have Asian babies. Phenomenal.

This last one is gunna make you poop your pants, I'm not kidding. I've never seen anything like this before... Maybe it's just because I'm from Alaska, or maybe it's because sometimes I'm okay with living under a rock. But this totally threw me for a loop. I just wanna party with these people, and their neighbors.... must love them.

October Bomb

October has officially ended. I know it's been way too long since I've posted anything, but I'm going to pull out my usual excuse and say that I've just been busy. October has been a pretty big month for me, and I've made a few big decisions, like moving back home next semester because I miss my family and I need to save money for moving out of state next year. I'm basically going to become an über nerd and do nothing but go to class and do homework so I can get good grades. I don't even care about anything else at this point, I've had enough of it and I'm ready to focus on school.

Enough about me, though. How about we talk about music, yeah? It's been a pretty exciting month for many bands, like Feist, Bjork, Ryan Adams, Radiohead, Kelly Clarkson, and of course, Coldplay. I don't really have enough room to talk about all of these albums, but I have room enough to say that all of them need to be listened to, except for Kelly Clarkson's. It's all pretty much the same as what she's been singing since she won American Idol 27 years ago, or whenever that was. I'm over her.

My September Grind & a big phat THANK YOU!

As of today my blog officially reached 12,000 views! This is really exciting to me, and I want to thank everyone for reading. I hope that by continuing to write, I'll be able to keep sharing my love and passion for music with as many people as possible!

Look, it's me! I spent a day out shooting with my best friend Amber for photography class. Love it!

I know I don't usually blog about "my life" very often, mind the occasional rant about something really bothering me at the time, but it's always nice to be able to update anyone who knows me or wonders how I'm doing. Life has been great lately. I'm busy as ever, but that's how I work best. I've got two jobs this semester, one of which is teaching dance for a few hours a week, which really makes me happy! I'm also getting back into the whole "working out/getting sexy" thing again, because I don't particularly feel like gaining the Freshman 15 as a Sophomore. I avoided it last year, I'd like to avoid it again. So far I've managed to get my lazy butt to the gym twice a day... We'll see how that holds up.
A few nights ago, I discovered that the recipe for a perfect romantic evening includes a chance to see the most amazing Alaskan northern lights I've ever seen in my whole life, a shooting star that looked to be on fire as it crossed the sky, and a massive dose of Coldplay.
So, there's my little update.
Now that it's the last day of September, I'm going to post my playlist for the month. Cheers to a great first month back to school. So far it's been fun, busy, and at times, a little boring, but that's where the music comes in.
This month I'm trying something a little different. I cut my playlist down really short and made them available to download. Hopefully this is a plus for all you readers. :)
